● time and locus profile

‘time and locus’ was founded by TAKANO Miwako in ‘01. Through focusing on movement triggered by the impulses and senses of the living body, which are so difficult to grasp with words, and through a dance that freely floats from time and space, locus, form. TAKANO has been trying to explore and present a new world. In ‘03, fragment vol.4 was received honorable mention at the Yokohama dance collection and got invitation to Osaka, Nagoya, Seoul, Tours. In ‘04, Tokumei Torippu(anonymous trip) was received Audience Prize at the Toyota Choreography Award .Since that time and locus has produced new pieces every year.

● TAKANO Miwako profile

Born in Tokyo. From ’90 dancing the pieces of Golgi Worx (HAYASHI Sadayuki & ONO Kazuyoshi ),MURAI Chie. After graduated Waseda university , took professional dance diploma at Laban centre in UK in ’95 . ’97-’98 learned corporal mime based on Etienne Decroux. Since ’98, showing own solo and group pieces in Tokyo. In ’01, founded own dance company “ time and locus “. Selected as a residence artist at Session House in ’05. Teaching dance at Japan women’s college of physical education and Obirin University since ’05.
